The Stein Inn is waiting to welcome you!
What We Offer
The Stein Inn has five comfortable, individual en-suite bedrooms, on the first floor, all with spectacular views of Loch Bay. All rooms are equipped with everything you would need to enjoy a relaxing stay, including no televisions! A full Scottish breakfast is included, if you wish, or something a bit lighter, but intended to set you up for the day whether sightseeing on the Isle of Skye or moving on to your next destination.
We offer light lunches, featuring some old favourites. We use the best of Scottish ingredients and in particular from the Isle of Skye and the Highlands, including the freshest of shellfish. Eat in the bar, or reserve a table, or weather permitting, dine al fresco with the fabulous view of Loch Bay.
Whisky of the Month
The Stein Inn is proud to have 130 malt whiskies, limited only by the size of our bar! In an attempt to encourage our visitors to try something new we have a Whisky of the Month, for which we will also offer tasting notes. Have a look at our Whisky page which shows all our whiskies some with tasting notes and information. There are such variety of tastes – you are sure to find something you like!
Wildlife & Outdoors
The Isle of Skye is truly an outdoor island. There is the majestic Cuillin which can be seen from just about all parts of the island or the Trotternish Ridge with its incredible rock formations. Wherever you are on Skye you are never far from the sea. The west coast is well known for spotting whales, porpoises, etc. But while you are here do not forget to look in the sky….
Winter is a different time on the Isle of Skye. Being on the Gulf Stream, it is rare for us to get snow or ice. Instead occasionally we can have days with wonderful clarity and long nights full of the Milky Way and Aurora Borealis. Now and again we can have storms! But there are no crowds. Stein Inn is open all year to welcome you at this time of year and offer Three Nights for the Price of Two.
